My 14-yr-old daughter is very independent. I don't have to worry or bribe her to get her work done. She does most of it independently up in her room, then I go over her math with her once per week, to make sure she is grasping the concepts. My sons, however need constant reminders to get their work done. I am just so excited that we have two weeks where I don't have to nag. I have two weeks to, well, do some things I never have time for. I can run, without trying to find the time to squeeze it in. Don't get me wrong. I love my kids and homeschooling is the best decision I have ever made, but it is busy. Between, lesson planning, teaching, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cleaning up; I am exhausted. We aren't one of those families whose kids are in a ton of extra curricular activities either, I can't even imagine those moms. Then again, I am an introvert. I need my downtime, so the upcoming two weeks of having absolutely nothing planned is heaven.
Today, to continue our history supplementation we watched episode 35 of Liberty Kids. We did our normal math curriculum and my 10-yr-old did his Easy Grammar and Literature from Easy Peasy. We also played a math fact memory game we made with my 7-yr-old.
