Hi! I am the lucky, but sometimes overwhelmed mom of three healthy, smart and active kids. For reasons too long to delve into, we have been homeschooling the past 6 yrs, this will be our 7th! I struggled with the idea of homeschooling for quite a while, it is the one thing I could never see myself doing. Yet, here I am! It is not always easy, but it is always worth it. I changed the look of my blog, and the name. Why? I am going to try to take a step out of my comfort zone and write about real things, things that may not always be easy to write. None of our lives are perfect, and I want to write about all of it, the perfect and the imperfect. My writing may not always be pretty or elegant, but it will be raw and real, just like life.
Update (6-12-19):
We have been making a few updates to our new/older home these past 8 months post Hurricane Michael. Our pool was fully replaced, we are almost done fully enclosing our large patio area, and we are replacing our 23 yr-old furnace and A/C with all mini-splits. Older homes, have better bones, but some of the upgrades we are needing to do are not cheap. The HVAC needed to be done, our home was built in 1959, with in-slab ductwork that is deteriorated and rusted, it smells when the heat or air blow through. I am hoping that this will greatly improve our indoor air quality, and help our youngest son's asthma symptoms. I am super excited to get these installed, which should happen within the next 1-2 weeks! Then we just need to fill in the ducts. We are also planning on having seamless gutters installed, and we need a new front door. We should have our own fixer upper show! Ha! Not only that, but since Hurricane Michael, we have developed a roof leak, which our insurance won't cover. They are insisting there is no roof damage, so it appears the roof replacement will be on us, which is aggravating considering the roof has architectural shingles and is only 7 1/2 yrs old. In lieu of the weather down here, we are having a few quotes done on metal roofing, more expensive in the long run, but also more durable. When we are done with all these upgrades, we will have a brand new house. It will be well worth it, as we could not have had a custom built house like this, on over an acre for the price we paid. Just look at this gorgeous center brick wall!

I'll post updated pics when we get the mini-splits installed, because it is next to impossible to find photos of them in real homes.
I hope our stories can inspire you, or just make you laugh and nod in agreement. I find myself doing that a lot on other blogs, I hope I can offer the same to others.
